For those that do not know me and an update for those who do, I, Tammy Bensley, am a second generation Colorado native, born and raised in Montrose, Colorado, as was my father. The western slope of Colorado is my home. I grew up camping on the Big Cimarron, jeeping and hiking the San Juan Mountains in and around Ridgway, Ouray and Telluride. My husband Bill and I have been Arrowhead property owners since 2010. We were RV’ers for 5 years initially, then became cabin owners in 2015. I joined Tamarack at Arrowhead as an Associate Broker in 2018 and moved onto the mountain in 2019 to do real estate and live in Arrowhead as a full time resident. I am now, as of September 2024, an Independent Real Estate Broker, branching out on my own with a new business name of Arrowhead Seven Ten. Being a previous RV owner and now a cabin owner, gives me a uniquely qualified, dual perspective on Arrowhead. Welcome to Arrowhead in Gunnison Country (Arrowhead)


Our community, Arrowhead is an HOA protected subdivision within an area of Colorado called Arrowhead In Gunnison Country.  Arrowhead is located approximately half way between Montrose and Gunnison on the Alpine Plateau Road (County Road 867).  Our subdivision encompasses approximately 2500 acres of forest, meadows, streams and lakes.  Circular 3/4 acre and 1 acre lots are platted on the land and are protected by almost 1500 acres of common land.  Arrowhead has a centralized, underground water system, underground electric and underground phone access for all sites within the Arrowhead parameters.  There is also satellite service available from all satellite  providers including Dish, Direct TV, Starlink, HughesNet to name a few.  Arrowhead has 4 private lakes of which 2, the Flint Lakes, are stocked twice a year with trout.  Abundant wildlife roam free within the subdivision.  Twenty minutes away is Blue Mesa Reservoir for boating and fishing, Black Canyon National Monument, Little & Big Cimarron, Silverjack Reservoir and many other recreational opportunities close by for all to enjoy.  Arrowhead Mountain Lodge is also available for lodging and has a full service restaurant and bar.   Arrowhead Mountain Adventures rents UTV's in the summer and snowmobiles in the winter for both summer and winter fun!  Come for a visit!  Discover the Beauty of Arrowhead!
